Phyzix
I would really like to thank the members of this forum who have helped me ever so much in getting Leo on my new HP Dv5. Couldn't have done it without you! Now for some finishing touches, I have a few questions. Specs if they are relevent: Processor: P8600 <--- working Gfx: 9600m gt <--- working Wireless: Intel 5100 <--- not working SD Card Reader <--- working Audio <--- mostly working Battery <--- mostly working Questions for the experts: 1. It appears that the intel 5100 is still not supported, should I go out and buy a different wireless card? There is a Fry's right by my house and I need wireless before I go back to school. G/N required unfortunatrely. Internal prefered assuming installation isn't overly difficult. 2. My sound doesn't work after sleep, and if I plug headphones into the front jack the speakers still play. Any solution? 3. Got the battery meter to display but it gives very innacurate readings. Not really a big deal but if someone knows a fix it would be appreciated. Here is the guide I used to install (it shows patches, kext, etc.) link Don't know if this could help but it shows all of the drivers and hardware for my Dv5 link Thanks for any and all assistance. blakjesus
Do you mind telling me how you managed to get past the "waiting for root device" error when trying to boot from the install cd? I have found a few posts on how to install it on a dv5 laptop but no one addresses the "waiting fro root device" error that shows up before i can even install leopard. I have tried iAtkos, iDeneb, and Kalyway and they all arrive at the same error.
