voKuHiLa
Hey folks I'm trying to install OSX86 via the Boot 132 method on my current rig: GA - P35 DS3 Rev 2.1 E8400 C2D 4gb of GEIL DDR2 @ 800mhz 250gb hdd 3 external USB HDDs Nvidia GTX 260 216c Wellll.. I tried 2 different boot 132 isos (p35.iso from first post of this thread and EP35-DS3R.ISO) Both were booting the retail leopard dvd just fine, except that both times the computer crashes a brief moment after the apple logo on gray appears. Same with -x / v / f tags. Before i waste any of the last few DVD-Rs i have: Is this already the end of my updatable Boot 132 vanilla install -dream or can anyone see a problem which needs to be solved? I did try iDeneb 10.5.5 before and it was showing the apple logo just fine. (did not finish the install though) So maybe my comp is just not able to run a vanilla kernel? Allthough - except the gtx260 - it should be ideal for a clean install from the retail disk? I already tried unplugging all USB devices except mouse / keyboard, no luck. Are there special Bios Settings that are a MUST? Well, i'm almost thinking of just installing iATKOS 5i, but using the retail disk and being able to just update the system would be way way better. Anyone got any idea what to try at this point? Anything is appreciated! Greetings Chris Update: iATKOS v5i booting into installer just fine, only problem was: i'm unable to see my external harddrives in disk utility.. Could be related to Legacy Storage Detect, which i have to disable so my mainboard doesn't forget the overclock. OC is disabled for my installtrys though :-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141703-ga-p35-ds3-e8400-4gb-800mhz-ddr2-crash-during-apple-logo-boot-132-not-possible/ Share on other sites
voKuHiLa
I did a full Install of IATKOS v5i, didn't change to a new kernel though (remained at stock). completed the install and... bam, reboot during the apple logo on first reboot. Anyone got any idea how i can at least stop the PC from rebooting and showing me whats wrong? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141703-ga-p35-ds3-e8400-4gb-800mhz-ddr2-crash-during-apple-logo-boot-132-not-possible/#findComment-1006747 Share on other sites
