My specs are EXACTLY the same as yours except 2 Gb RAM, now running 10.5.5 updated from Kalyway 10.5.2, working nearly flawlessly.

If you could tell me where you are stuck, I might give you some ideas.

Hi Thanks your reply, can show you step? I just install Kalyway 10.5.2, how can update 10.5.5?

I'd reduce my RAM to 2Gb just to get the system running. I know some versions of JMicron driver, which controls IDE bus on our mobos, may have a problem with 4Gb.

There're plenty of guides on here or Netkas blog. A basic search will give you enough to get a working system.

Try to use a standalone COMBO update download from Apple, more luck this way. Whenever updating, 2 main things: Disable AppleIntellCPUPowerManagement.kext, either by running script or disabling kext. If you don't, your system will hang either immediately or on restart. Also, before restarting you must edit the update script and replace reference to Don't Steal Mac OS X.kext with dsmos.kext. Again, do a search, plenty of info on that.

After update you will loose your custom kexts, like sound etc, good idea to have them backed up before so you can restore them all post update.
