Salad
Here's what I did: Downloaded iATKOS 5i Created a partition in Windows Vista (SP1) Burnt the iATKOS image to a DVD Booted from the iATKOS DVD Formatted the partition I'd made in Vista via the iATKOS DVD Installed Leopard 10.5.5 (Choosing 'Customise' and selecting all the things that applied to me) Leopard finishes installing without fault I reboot After the Dell splash screen with 'press F2 for Setup' and 'Press F12 for boot device selection menu' I am presented almost instantly with the words 'boot0: error'. I don't have a Vista recovery CD, but I do have Windows 2000 and XP recovery disks. With my current problem, would it be possible to just put one of those in and use fixmbr? I can boot from CD/DVD just fine. Curiously, I have (theoretically) two bootable partitions on my HDD; Vista and OSX86. However, when setting boot order in the BIOS, I can only see the entire HDD, rather than the seperate partitions. Thanks in advance. *UPDATE* I used the method covered in this (old) topic: http://forum.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/i...hp/t135739.html I now boot straight in to OSX (with a no-go apple though... sigh). It would be nice to boot back in to Vista so I can sort some things out. I would also like to be able to use the standard Windows bootloader to select which OS I want to boot in to. Is this possible? Salad
Just found out I can get to the standard windows bootloader via Darwin, but when I select Vista, the screen just goes black for a while then the computer restarts. Hah, this OSX86 is more hassle than it's worth. I've got a Vista Recovery CD downloading right now.
