jordanrouss Posted December 17, 2008 Share Posted December 17, 2008 i guess i would call myself a noob.. ha.. anyway.. i just installed a retail version of os x on my inspiron 530 (q6600) using the bootloader designed for the dell mini. then i installed chameleon. after the install i ran the combo update to go to 10.5.6. i ran no patches at all.. everything seems to be working fine. i was able to get the sound working properly using osx86 tools and the audio kext. video with efi program. my question is... was i supposed to patch something before running this combo update? why is it working if i didn't? finally, is there a specific network card i should be using that would work the best... had no luck with a dlink530...
