metzy75
Hello here is my story i am a senior in high school and this year my school went to macs. In the computer lab and each teacher got a macbook. I have used windows all my life ( some linux) and i began to play with them and liked what i saw. Last year just before summer i found this site and began exploering how to install mac on my hard drive the first version i used after watching a dual booting tutorial on youtube was JAS 10.4......... I liked what i saw and then leopard came out. I thought nothing of it and contuned to play off and on with tiger. At the begining of the school year ( by this time my laptop had crashed and forced a fresh windows install removing the mac install) I had seen leopard and liked what i saw. So i thought well i did it with tiger on my laptop y not do leopard but sadly i can not boot to the install dvd due to a trackpad issue which is unresolved. So i saved money and finally bought a dvd burner for my desktop. I burned a copy of Kalway 10.5.2 and went to install. Here are the specs of my desktop. Dell demension 3000 p4 2.8 ghz i have 2gb of patriot ( 2 x 1gb). For the mac install i have 1 80gb hd and video card wise i have a nvidia geforce fx5500 and a ati radeon diamond x1550 pci graphics card. So i went to install and got a b0 error then i tired jas server client version of leopard and some boot file was missing. then i tried again after reading more and it failed again and again both disk. I really want to try leopard out but i cant get it even installed to start working. I would love to know if anyone can assist me and or tell em of any other versions that i can try out?
