Hello all,

I've got managed to install OS X 10.4.3 on a pc and it runs like a charm. I then wanted to install it on my own pc, but I can't install it.

When I just press enter at prompt, I get a screen with the message to restart my pc (trough reset- or power-button).

I then ran the install with -v and got the following:

osx_01.jpg

I assume it has something to do with acpi-functions? I tried to turn them off in bios, but that didn't help :)

I tried booting with:

-x

-s

platform=ACPI

platform=X86PC

but none of them helped.

My system is:

MSI 865PE Neo2-P

Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz (HT)

2x512 MB DDR Ram (dual-channel)

MSI RX9800PRO-TD128 (Radeon 9800 pro)

Has anyone an idea what the problem is and how I can solve it?

I think, it can't be the iso, because I installed os x from the same dvd on another system.

Thank you very much and with kind regards.

Hello all,

I tried a few things and then found out, that the AC97 onboard-soundcard caused the trouble.

So I deactivated it and got anohter unresolved kernel trap message. I then deactivated USB in bios and the installation seems to work.

But is there any way to get usb working after installing os x? Has anyone an idea?

Thanks and with kind regards.

Good evening,

I found out even a stranger behavior. I connected my usb-mouse on ps2 through an adapter. Even then I get the unresolved kernel trap. So I tried a "real" ps2-mouse: the same behavior.

Conclusion:

- Disable USB

- Disable Audio

- Disconnect all devices except keyboard

result: I see the installation-screen, but can't get into the hdd-utility (is there any key-combo?) :D

Has anyone an idea what's the problem?

Thank you and with kind regards

Highlight the menu bar with CTRL+F2 and move on to Disk Utility from there.

Hello,

thank you for your answer.

What exactly is the amd-enabler? Where do I find it?

Where do I have to install it?

Do I need to install OS X with nothing plugged in but a keyboard, then install the amd-enabler?

Then I can re-enable usb and audio again and even use a mouse?

Thank you and with kind regards
