iTrooper Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 How can I upgrade my copy of iATKOS 4i (uphuck) 10.5.4 to 10.5.5? It only seems to run at 1024x768, and any update files for a 9500gt card require me to have 10.5.5 installed before I can use my video card properly. I have an ASUS EN9500GT Magic, 512mb video card, it comes up as this below when I run it through OSX86 Tools. 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation Unknown device [10de:0640] (rev a1) I installed it with the most basic settings, and made sure to select Rhine for my network. I've tried running the 10.5.5 combo update and that seems to have killed the install. My motherboard is 4CoreDual-VSTA My CPU is a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86ghz Video Card as mentioned above is a ASUS EN9500GT Magic 512mb Have 1GB SDRAM Have 1 IDE drive set up for the Mac and acting as Master and 1 Sata set up for Windows XP, this way I can choose Windows or Mac at the Darwin screen. There are some issues with 10.5.6 AFIK......and if 10.5.5 cannot be got working OK, no point in jumping to 10.5.6 just yet...... iTrooper Posted April 14, 2009 Author Share Posted April 14, 2009 Darn forum didn't send me any email responses or I'd reply, so sorry. Why 10.5.5? well at the time 10.5.6 didn't exist yet. And as for why 10.5.5, well I have a NVidia 9500 card and it seems that most of the drivers were made to work on 10.5.5 and not 10.5.4 OSX only seemed to work when I put my old 7900 card back in and that sorta seems pointless as I'm going in reverse and not forward in tech.
