jantunes
Hi I can't really say what I've done, although I believe it was nothing, but now I'm unable to connect the iPod Touch to my hackintosh, which is running 10.5.5. My iPod Touch won't charge either. However, when I reinstall iTunes, I'm able to stablish a connection and my iPod will charge. The problem is that after some time it just stops doing it. I think that the driver is getting corrupted but I don't know why. I'm sorry if the solution was posted already but I couldn't find anything in my searches. Regards, jantunes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141086-cant-mount-my-ipod-touch/ Share on other sites
adamsweeting
First of all establish if the iPod will work as it should connected to another computer. You don't want to waste time combing your computer for issues if it is in fact the iPod. If the iPod is confirmed good, then first place to start would be the IOUSBFamily.kext (in my opinion) Need more info on your hardware though. Put brief, but specific hardware info in your sig Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141086-cant-mount-my-ipod-touch/#findComment-999585 Share on other sites

jantunes
Tried booting with the default kernel and it works... If it stops doing it, I'll report it. jchaike
I am having the same problem: no charging, no nothing. I used Kalyway 10.5.2 and upgraded straight to 10.5.5 and didn't try my iPod with USB on the hackintosh. I have an MPC 3ghz xeon intel processor (i think it may possibly be quad core...maybe dual core i dont remember >.>) with SleepKernel When installing Kalyway, I didn't install a USB2.0Fix (i think it said only to install if i know i had troubles before). I have installed a good amount of stuff on this mac since i installed it, and although i wouldnt really mind doing a reinstall of he OS (I could make a larger partition this time =D), i would still prefer trying to fix the problem without reinstalling OSX You can basically call me a mac noob (>.<) but if you tell me anything i may need to type in terminal, i can give you the results. Please help!! =D Thanks! ---edit---- Tried booting with the default kernel and it works... If it stops doing it, I'll report it. what do you mean by booting with the default kernel? jantunes
I was booting with the voodoo kernel, which is stickied in the Mac Releases. Then, I just booted with the kernel I had beofre and it worked. Actually, yesterday I installed the latest release of Voodoo kernel, as I had an old one, and it works too. If you're going to try it, read everything first so you don't run into problems.
