bcmalloy
Found a solution to get full audio working on this board after mucking around with heaps of ktext's ect. I've found a solution that gives line out with volume control AND digital audio output Tested and working great with leopard ideneb build 10.5.4 upgraded to 10.5.5 manually and THEN upgraded to 10.5.6 headphones out line in ect should all work but are untested by me post your results for other owners of this board All credit goes to keeper75 for his great work on the alc662 audio driver, this is a little package and info to basically supply anyone with this great board a quick way of getting their audio going with little knowaldge, thanks also goes to all os x champs using their extensive knowadage to allow the rest of us to build great hackintoshes. here it is Gigabyteaudio.zip Note: now WITH SELF INSTALLER note:please run from disk image for proper operation Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141049-audio-package-for-ga-g31m-s2l-motherboard-alc662/ Share on other sites

hackaroni
Wonderful, this is the best one I've found so far... it lets me shut down the computer after sleep (as opposed to only shutting down if I haven't slept it). I am trying to figure out which kext this is from OcciJano's thread...I assume that the OP meant to thank OcciJano rather than Keeper75: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=133460 THANKS ALL! himac59
This Audio driver worked also for the: Motherboard: ASUS P5QL-SE P43 chipset 800MHz FSB Graphic Card: NV 9500GT, 512MB DDR3 Graphic Memory ALC 662 audio chip CPU: Intel Core 2 Dual E8400, 3,0GHz I also head the "dying" problem. Was the 16384 buffer header error. I solved it with a modded bios, after this modding iDeneb starts perfect, OOB (Out Of The Box) only sound is not working. Thats the ALC662. You can solved that here, worked good for the Asus P5ql SE: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=141049 To mod your bios go to: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=136586 i also went back from bios 0505 to 0402 Realy and it works with iDeneb 10.5.5 and ideneb 10.5.6 also with ipc 10.5.6 Its so nice to have a fast, fully working OSX!!! Good Luck 13 juni 2009 i got sound working with: http://thireus.dareyourmind.net/index.php/...-on-your-eeemac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141049-audio-package-for-ga-g31m-s2l-motherboard-alc662/#findComment-1106932 Share on other sites

Il-uvatar
Dear bcmalloy, I tried your package and all I get is my m/c wanting to be powered down and up again. I installed your package and it went through to asking me if I wanted to fix my permissions, which I did. It then asked me to power down the m/c, which I did. Now it seems locked in the power down cycle. Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated here !!
