m1330dude
I have tried permission repairs, manual install but the longest I have gotten it to last is 3 reboots than eventually the sounds goes away although the controls remain and seems to be active and working with itunes playing. I have backed up up my kext via osxtools utility and now I can restore my working kexts with a single click and after reboot the sound comes back. Its very odd and seems to be some kind of auto system recovery or something. I am new to osx. I have been lucky so far with iAtkos 5.4, as most everything works including video at highest resolution and dual screen and HDMI out. The only thing I will add is a compatible wireless adapter I have on order and hopefully that is all I will need. I don't care about ethernet not working but sound would be really nice. Reliable sound that is. I have tried iAtkos 1.3 which install fantastically but lacks some upgrade uptions. iAtkos 5.5 is very difficult to install but eventually installs but will only go into -x, safemode. Wish it worked because it looks like the smoothest version otherwise. iAtkos 5.4 install easily also and works regular mode and fairly smooth so far so I'm sticking to this one. Thanks for any help, hints or advise would be appreciated. I have already installed Office 2008 and Adobe CS4 Creative Suite and it is smooth and very slick. I am enjoying learning OSX so far.
