ncanqn
Hi everyone, I'm newbie here. After reading too many threat and tried some installation without success, I decided to ask for help. My PC is: CPU: Intel Pentium D 920 3.2 GHz Main: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 rev 1.0 RAM: 1 GB Graphic: NVIDIA Geforce 7100 GS DVD IDE, 1 SATA for Vista, 1 SATA for XP, 1 IDE for Mac Currently I have Kalyway 10.5.2 is running on my IDE 80 HDD (20 GB), the rest is NTFS. Now I want to try to install 10.5.2 from retail DVD on IDE HDD 80 GB. Of course, I can erase current Kalyway 10.5.2 and everything to make this HDD is empty. My question are: 1. Does the DVD that comes along with MacBook laptop (Label: Mac OS X Install Disc 1, Mac OS X Install Disc 2, v10.5.2) call Retail DVD? I mean can I use them as Retail DVD to install? 2. Some thread says we cannot boot Retail 10.5.2 on Pentium D (model P7), some others say yes. So can I install OS X using Retail 10.5.2 DVD on my Pentium D? 3. I did try to boot with 132 Boot CD (BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.iso) and GA-965P-DS3.iso but i got the same following error: - EBIOS read error : Error x32 Block 16272264. (display 4 times) - After loading all kext, I got "Errors encountered while starting up the computer" - After that I saw a gray screen with Apple logo and that's all, Nothing further. I searched and read, but i don't know how to fix that. What should I do now? So, please help me to install OS X with my configurations. I prefer to install direct from DVD boot rather than use MAC running on another HDD to install from ISO to another HDD. One more thing is I disconnect all my SATA HDD while I try to install Mac OS X, so let assume that I have only IDE DVD and only one IDE HDD that ready for installation. If there are aleady solutions somewhere, please give me links. Thank you so much and waiting solution from you guys. Have nice days. As far as I know these are your only two options boot 132 or install from another hard drive/partition with osx already installed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140870-helpme-install-1052-retail-on-my-intel-pc/#findComment-1004843 Share on other sites
