thesesecretfireworks
Hi, it's my first post here but I've been a long time lurker. My Leopard install has been pretty sweet so far. I've had a couple of problems but most of them have been resolved. However, something's recently come to light! It seems that for some reason Disk Utility, iSync and Terminal will not open- their typical icons have been replaced by TextEdit icons. Very weird. I've tried repairing permissions but that seems to have no effect. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Just went to the console and found that whenever I tried to launch these applications I get this error message: "unable to load nib file" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140818-applications-going-missing/ Share on other sites
ameris_cyning
Had this happen before. This happens when either an official Apple update screws up, or you try to install a package using Pacifist and choose "upgrade" instead of "replace". Download the latest Apple 10.5.5 update, open it up in Pacifist, and extract the affected files.
