acidd22
I'm getting the dreaded "Still waiting for root device" message like other users, but i'm getting it on installation, not during first boot as many others are getting. Previously, i had a problem with installing OSX because my computer would reboot during installation. I've had this problem with Kalyway 10.5.1 and Leo4Allv3. Now i have Kalyway 10.5.2 and it does not reboot during the installation, however, after loading for a while, i get the Still waiting error message. I've tried -v, -x, platform=ACPI|X86PC, cpus=1 in different combinations. My hardware is as follows: MB: MSI P6N SLI-FI, Downgraded BIOS to v2.2, first tried it w/ 2.6 Processor: Intel E6300, 1.83Ghz 64-bit processor. Video: Geforce 7600GS SATA: 2 Hard drives, 1 DVD ROM IDE: 1 hard drive for OSx86 The BIOS shows the devices as IDE Primary Master (device 1) and SATA as Device 5, 6 and 8 (DVD is in the last SATA port). since many "Still waiting..." message revolve around SATA/IDE, i removed my SATA devices and used a USB DVD drive, i've disabled the SATA controller in the BIOS, and i've tried it w/o the IDE hard drive. I'm getting the same message in the same place. Any other ideas on how to get through installation? The furthest i've gotten is that i can install Kalyway 10.5.1, but i can't boot because it reboots as it loads. I've tried -v -x -f -legacy cpus=1 with no luck.
