My system: Asus P5Q-E Intel Core2duo E8400 3Ghz Asus EAH 3650 Silent Magic, 512 MB 500 GB Maxtor SATA 7200 rpm, 32 MB cache HD 4 GB Kingston ValueRam DDR2 800 Mhz I have done the motherboard BIOS update to 1406 (the official one by Asus). And done the BIOS properties to AHCI. Kalyway 10.5.2 will not go into the installation, iDeneb 10.5.5 will do the installation, but after he will boot on the HD and than stop at the grey screen with the apple. I've tried several options like different kernels and different bios properties. Sorry for my english but i just want a working hackintosh system. Many thanks for the one who can help me! In -v mode last mesage is using 5242 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers. There is bunch of topics where people have that problem, but nobody wants to help. BadMonkey Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 I came across the same issue and I had to patch the Motherboard BIOS with using the the BIOS Bios Updater Utility re-installed iDeneb 10.5.6 and everything worked fine except the onboard network card I purchased a Realtek R8139 NIC and everything is working perfectly.
