xbender
hey, I have a Dell XPS 1530, and I found a nice guide how to install Mac OS as a multiboot. but my question is, if I have 3 partitions (Mac OS, Vista, data) and I boot in Mac OS, will I be able to see the data partition? (all is physically one HDD, just partitions) I would like to use the documents both in vista and mac.....is that doable? thank you! xbender
ok, I read around and I know that writing to NTFS partition is a problem (has anyone coped with that sucessfully?), but reading is ok. my biggest issue are documents. If I have documents on NTFS partition, can I open them, edit and save again onto the original place or do I have to save them onto Mac OS partition? how is this all done with bootcamp on macs? if I have windows on mac, is it possible to read and write under both systems? DuBmastah
xbender : no problem, you can read ntfs partition with osx. and ... you also can write on them as long as you have macfuse and ntfs-3g installed. in fact, you need to install macfuse for ntfs-3g to work. then you will be able to work on your ntfs partitions as easy as if they were fat32 ! ;-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140607-multiboot-and-accessing-other-partition/#findComment-1002742 Share on other sites
