Hello everyone! my first post! I've been playing around getting the best setup on my Acer Aspire One for a while now, and had iATKOS running perfectly how i wanted it, however after installing ubuntu im having problems.

Im using pc_efi with grub in ubuntu to load my original iATKOS install, this gets to the iATKOS loader, and then proceeds to boot Mac OS X however, it hangs on the grey apple logo screen indefinately (this is only since installing ubuntu), i think maybe the fact that pc_efi is loading twice? or a kernel ext is causing this issue?

Nevertheless i ran iATKOS with -v and this is the point in the log in which it hangs:

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I'd like to give an update and say THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED! =)

However i have a few notes to share on how i got it working and how this fault can look like another etc...

- Many people say this is due to the graphics kernel ext's screwing around as they load after this, however in this case it is not true, the actual problem was that i was using pc_efi v8 in grub and pc_efi v9 through iATKOS, which was causing an incompatibilty issue. I couldn't get hold of pc_efi v9 to install to grub, so to fix this problem i downloaded the latest kameleon efi and installed this on both my iATKOS install using my install cd and on grub. After this everything was working

- I'd like to point out, i tried about 100 different things to get this working, this is definately a working fix.

- To test if it is applicable to you, load your dvd/usb install and at the prompt type fd=diskXsY (corresponding to your mac os x installation) if it loads, then here is your fix! :)

ENJOY!
