I have installed OSX on my PC using iATKOS 5i (10.5.5) but after I boot it up i get the following:

boot0: MBR

boot0: done

and then my XP starts.

I have tried to install all over again and got the same result.

also tried some MBR change mathod (found on this forum and google) but no joy.

for example, when puting the osx partiton as the boot one I get boot0: error.

my machine is GA-P31-DS3L based with 2 GB RAM and 250 GB HD.

4 partitions - primary (xp), extended: (1,2,3) where 3 in for OSX86

any idea on what should i do to solve this ?

Thanks.

(sorry for the next topic - keyboard gone mad)

I had similar text appear today. The difference was that I had recently removed iAtkos. I did the following (which I found out how to do online so I don't take credit).

I put in the Vista Disk and booted from that (I know u have XP but it shouldn't make a difference). I then went into the command prompt which comes with this (I'm not sure if XP disk has this available). I then entered the following:

bootrec.exe /fixmbr

bootrec.exe /fixboot

This should remove the text that pops up, as for iAtkos, I'm sorry but I can't really help you.

Good luck!

Your best bet is to use Acronis OS Selector. I created at least 3 partitions. One for Mac, one for XP, and one Data partition to share between Mac & XP.

Do a customized install for OS Selector and tell it to install to the Data partition that way it doesn't touch either XP or Mac in case you have reinstall them. Once you have OS Selector installed, it will see Mac and XP in the booting Menu. Go in the properties of XP shortcut and tell it to hide the Mac partition. Do the same for Mac shortcut by hiding the XP partition. OS Selector will make either XP or Mac the main partition when you boot it so there will be no conflict. This is really a nice way to boot mutiple OSes. You can even have linux on another partition. I would make them all Primary. You can have up to 4 primary partitions in one hard drive.

Thanks for all replys but none worked.

I think there is something very wrong that I'm doing and missing some importent thing.

I decided to re-install it (4th time) and again I get:

boot0:error

to make this go work (or at least geting the other os to work - xp) i need reconfigure partition boot.

I will not do int until i get reply for this as this might make something that is un reversable.

Thank you all again (and HELP !)
