hello123456789
If I just use my laptop monitor it is fine but when I plug a monitor into the VGA port and click "Detect Displays" it gives me a black screen and I have to hold the power button. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 The graphics card is a NVidia Geforce 8600M GT 256mb I am using NVinject 0.2.1 and Leo4Allv3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140390-dual-monitors/ Share on other sites
Lanceomni
Have you tried using <fn><F8> to toggle displays? Does anything happen? Have you booted up with he monitor attached? What does it say in System Profiler under Graphics/Displays (Without the additional display connected) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140390-dual-monitors/#findComment-994475 Share on other sites

cuppajoe
Fixed it now, I had to change the NVCAP to 0400000000000100020000000000000700000000 Good stuff, I had the same issue and this fixed it. I really just wanted to ask how the Dell 1720 is going for you as I have the exact same laptop. Do you have everything except wireless working? I cannot for the life of me get shutdown/reboot/sleep working and wanted to know if you did. Thanks! I cannot for the life of me get shutdown/reboot/sleep working and wanted to know if you did. Thanks! Well it's working and thats about it, wireless is not working, shutdown/reboot and sleep don't work, card reader doesn't work, and need to check firewire. But over time I will hopefully be able to sort out these problems.
