DSSKing
Gentlemen, I am in the process of building my Hackintosh and have a question : I downloaded Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_AMD in ISO format from the obvious place. It's an ISO. In the PC world, I simply use AShampoo or Nero to burn. Is this the same for the Mac OS? If I use AShampoo and burn the ISO, will it boot in the DVD drive once I fire up the assempled to-be Hackintosh?? BTW - I'm gonig to be using the Intel Atom Dual-core 1.6 with 2 gigs of ram, an Sata drive and an IDE DVD drive. This should work?? Thanks for the heads up guys. Jammie300
Hello, In theory this should work as long as you burn it slowly (around 2x). This is painstaking but it prevents error correcting in the disk and will boot more smoothly. You just need to tell your BIOS to boot from CD/DVD drive rather than Hard Drive 1st. I used freeware ISO burners that did the trick HTH James Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140276-kalyway-1052-iso-burning-help/#findComment-994440 Share on other sites
