whereismyipod
I have a 10.4.3 disk and the disk boots great and actually has been installed on a Dell (GX270), but...I can not get my computer (Dell XPS 400) to recognize my SATA drives. I have played around in the BIOS trying every possible combination of settings when it comes to SATA / PATA / emulation, etc. Has anyone gotten an XPS to install? Mac Boy
I have the same problem with 10.4.5, XPS Gen3, & 80GB SATA drive. The drive shows up in the installer but shows 0GB and no partitions are detected. I think it might have to do with dell's proprietary MRB. Have you tried fdisk /mbr or fixmbr?
