mbebop
Hey guys, I’m on a quest for a perfect audio driver for the Inspiron 1525. I think it runs Sigmatel 9228, but I'm not 100% sure on this. I've played with several different patched AppleHDA.kexts, and am currently running one with both mute and left headphone jack working, possibly the mic jack as well (from the MacGirl thread I think). What I’d like to do is get the internal microphone working and the right headphone jack if possible. If someone has either of these things working, your AppleHDA.kext would be appreciated. Maybe some more toying will have it working 100%. I've tried using a few different kext's including: -patching the original with turaga's HDA patcher v1.16, and the 1525codec provided by methamp; this gets me speakers and nothing else. -kext from the dell post installer; doesn't work for me at all. -HDA from the MacGirl thread on mute; gives me speakers, mute, left headphone jack, and I think mic jack (no mic to test it). Again, I'd love to hear from anyone who has the built-in mic working. I'm probably going to try generating my own codec dump in linux and patching again to see if that works. However, I don't know if I have the mic working in ubuntu either, so I'm not sure if that's going to work.
