Hey, I know there's a thread on P5N-D motherboards but I couldn't exactly find the help I need with it... if there is somewhere else on the forum that already has this posted, please point me in that direction.

That having been said...

This is my system

-E8400 C2D

-ASUS P5N-D

-500GB SATA HDD (Which I intend to use solely for OSX)

-SATA DVD

-3GB RAM

-EVGA 8800GT ("dual slot edition")

I have several releases downloaded and at my disposal, including Kalyway 10.5.2, Leo4AllV3, iDeneb (v4 and v5), iAtkos (v1i, v2i, v4i, v5i), and JaS 10.5.4 Client.

The *only* release that will recognize the SATA dvd drive right off the bat is Leo4AllV3. Unfortunately I don't have any PATA or external drive to install any other releases with. So, any other release gives me the "still waiting for root device" message.

I can install Leo4All fine, and I have everything onboard working EXCEPT my 8800GT. I have tried NVDarwin, NVKush, NVInject, and EFI strings. Interestingly enough, I can install NVKush, NVInject, and NVDarwin fine, and the kexts appear to be installed, but it doesn't change anything with respect to QE/CI and full resolution support. (And I've also tried editing the plist of the kexts).

Basically I figure the Leo4All distro and my setup don't want to play nice, so I'm trying to figure out how to use TransMac to inject the sata kexts from Leo4All into the ISO files of other releases, namely Kalyway 10.5.2, since 8800GTs are supported relatively easily with my board.

I don't know what causes Leo4All to recognize my root device but not any of the other distributions, since they all have some form of the AppleNforceATA kext....

So any help would be greatly appreciated, either trying to get my 8800GT working on Leo4All, or trying to inject the SATA drivers for root recognition into my other distro ISOs.

Thanks!
