I installed using the Kallaway 10.5.2 iso. Had to install it a few times to get the right settings but it works now. Requires me to leave the install disc in for it to boot or says "Error loading operating system". At first install it just hung after the apple screen with the spinning wheel. Then I changed the kernell to the 9.2 with speed stepping one (the second one).

I know I know I am really being vague with my specs. But I am at work and will post up my computer specs once I get my dell service number off the back.

I do know though its the...

3.2GHz Prescott Pentium 4 - SSE3

128mb ATI Radeon Mobility 9700

1024mb of ram so-dimm pc3200

WSXGA (1,680 x 1,050) Display

Sound works fine, First time it was locked on mute, reinstall took care of that. Stuck in 1024x768 resolution. Question Macs have used the Mobility line of ATI's and they have a ATI Display Panel driver on their website for macs and was wondering if it would work with the 9700.

Broadcom 440x 100/100 NIC works.

Dell Wireless 1350 internal card doesnt work.

Also about to update to 10.5.5 tonight and was wondering if theres some stuff i should really know before procedding. The main reason for doing this is to mess around with the iphone sdk. I have used a few macs before hand, but nothing more than using the programs within it, so the terminal language is a bit new to me.

I updated to 10.5.5 Using Pacificist and installed everything but the kernels. It boots, really slow but it boots. Problem is though, the Icons in the dashbar are the wrong icons, some aren't even there.

Biggest problem is that the keyboard stopped working with the update.

Best thing is the wireless card works again.

Anyone suggest something i did wrong, something I need to uncheck in Pacificist when installing the update?
