HacKage
Hi there, recently installed Kalyway 10.5.2 onto my FE11S using vanilla kernel and NVinjectGo 0.2.0 driver package bundled on the disk. This gives me no image on the internal LCD, but it gives me a picture on my external TFT. I get full resolution options, and QE/CI is enabled, hardware accellerated etc, basically everything is fine except the internal LCD. When looking at the NVCAP I have: Code: 04000000 00000300 0c000000 0000007 00000000 I then went onto install NVinject 0.2.0 with the same results as above, no internal/external ok.Same NVCAP. I then installed NVinject 0.2.1, again with the exact same results, same NVCAP. So I decided I was gonan change the NVCAP and see what happens.I made a copy of the original 0.2.1 NVCAP on the desktop in a folder named "Info", as well as one to edit on the desktop.Opened up PlistEditor Pro and changed the NVCAP value to: Code: 04000000 00000100 05000000 00000007 00000000 Then copied that Info.plist (one from desktop) into the Contents folder of the NVinject.kext, autenticated it, and replaced it. I then opened up terminal and did the following: Code: sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions/Caches/ I then rebooted, no joy, gets to the apple screen, then the internal LCD goes black, then white, with no external output. Rebooted again with -s flag.I was gonna replace the modified Info.plist with the backup I made but I'm not sure if I done it right, I entered: Code: cd /users/davidtaylor/desktop/info mv Info.plist /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext/Contents/Info.plist It then took a couple of seconds, and asked if I wanted to replace the file [y/n], I said y, and then it came up blah blah was a read only file.I typed in exit and it went to start up but did the same, no boot, just white screen and no external. Can someone please tell me if what I have did is correct, and if not, what can I do to replace the modified Info.plist with the one I backed up with original NVCAP values Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139935-sony-vaio-fe11s-with-256mb-geforce-go-7400/ Share on other sites
HacKage
Right, after alot of mucking about and not getting it I just reformatted, and instead of picking NVinjectGo graphics drivers, I picked the standard NVinject drivers which give me internal LCD, but with no QE/CI and no resolution change.I also checked the NVCAP values, and they are the exact same as the values from other injecters that only provide external monitor support, so does the NVCAP really have anything to do with my problem here? thegodone
Hi HacKage, Can you tell me how you install OsX on the Fe11s, I had always a black internal screen during the installation, just after the boot i type -v and after 5-10 lines the screen disappeard (the external screen is black to) the DVD continu to run for 2-3 min so this is only a problem of configuration of the screen during installation. Did you have this problem ? regards, thegodone Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139935-sony-vaio-fe11s-with-256mb-geforce-go-7400/#findComment-1289126 Share on other sites
