Chetan Thaker
Hello I'm new to Hackint0sh and would need someone's help in installing Hackintosh. I recently burnt Kalyway 10.5.2 on a DVD for my machine with the following config: Intel Core2Duo @ 2.53Ghz Intel DG35EC Motherboard 2GB RAM (single stick) Samsung 20x SATA DVD Writer Seagate 500GB SATA Hard Disk Seagate 160GB IDE Hard Disk When I enter the CD in the drive and boot from it, it shows me the Darwin prompt (thats what I have learnt from various forums) and I hit '-v' and Enter. It shows some stuff getting initialised and then finally, it stops at the following line. ACPI_SMC_CTRLLOOP::INITCPUCTRLLOOP - PMCPUCONTROL (PMIOCSETUPSTATETABLE) returned 0xffffffff (I searched in the forums, but could not find anything) I have played around with the power settings in my BIOS but still cant get it to work I tried the following options on the Darwin prompt as well cpus=1 -v -x -s -f I dont have any other peripheral installed like an external LAN card or a Graphic card (I'm using the onboard X3500 drivers) and the Hardware Compatibility List says that the motherboard is supported, except for the Audio. Can someone please help me in installing Hackintosh on my machine ? Thanks Chetan p.s. If it helps, the screenshot of where exactly I am getting stuck is at the following link: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8160/07...7resizedji3.jpg Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139794-installing-kalyway-1052-on-intel-dg35ec-motherboard-freezes-installation/ Share on other sites
arusha
It isn't even finding the boot drive. What are your bios SATA settings? They should be set as AHCI I expect. That's the same chipset as the ASUS P5E-VM-HDMI which I use, and I have the drives set as AHCI. This post: http://www.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/ind...hp/t111953.html suggests that you need an external supported video card, but mine boots OK using the on-board graphics. The G35/X3500 support in the other thread sort of works for me, but not great (no DVI, only VGA) and not with 5.5. I'm not willing to mix and match so either I need to patch the 5.5 3100 drivers, or break down and buy a supported video card. Good luck.
