I have spent the better part of two days searching these forums and google for a solution before I posted up. Maybe I am not searching for the correct words, but I have been unable to find anything specific.

Starters:

mb: intel D945gcnl

cpu: intel core 2 e2160 1.8ghz

mem: 2gb ddr800

vid: nvidia 8400 gs

sata dvd & hd (160gb)

ideneb v1.3 10.5.5

the actual install went as smooth- no bumps at all

upon boot, it displays the apple logo and small circular loading ring.

then it stops.

then I hear music from the welcome video, but the screen is still the apple logo and stopped loading ring.

if I press any keys it "dings", but again, still stuck on the first screen.

my assumption is that it's something to do with the video card, but are there any ways to check a log file, etc... is this documented somewhere around here?

thanks for any insight you can provide.

I am having a similar issue. I don't get to a point where I can hear music or anything but it does hang at boot. I get a little "Do not enter" looking sign. After booting with the -v command the OS stops loading at "[JMicroonATA] Ultra mode 4" and continuously prints "Still waiting for root device"

My guess is that this is an issue somewhere with the hard drive. I'm going to reinstall and test again.
