Hello guys, I have a sony vgn-tz350n with kalyway 10.5.2 vanilla installed. I replaced the WLAN card with the dell 1500n card that is supported by leopard. THe card works great with vista and ubuntu so I know its working however when I boot leopard it does not detect the card, I dont see it in the finder, and in systems preferences there is no mention of the airport card..

Is there anything I can do to have leopard recognize my card ?

Hi,

Your card is maybe to recent for the 10.5.2 to recognize it, there is an airport update after the 10.5.5.

However you can install osx86tools to check via lspci the vendor/product id.

The last line for me was interesting : 10:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g [14e4:4315] (rev 01)

So you can change the values in /S/L/E/IO8021Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/Info.plist to add the values.

Need to redo this after each AirportUpdate
