IamJAX
Hi, I got a new dell xps 1530 yesterday and am trying to install OS X on it. I got iDeneb 10.5.5 v1.3.Currently I got dell Media direct installed and have Vista 64-bit. I made a 25GB FAT32 Primary Partition for OS X using acronis disc director. I booted the iDeneb disc and selected disk utility to format the drive to Mac OS X Jounralised partition. But once it finish erasing, if I select the partion again, it is still shown as FAT32(it detects as unformated if I boot back to Vista). when I check info about any partition in disk utility in OS X installer, it shows as No for almost all options like ownership change, formatable etc. As a result, I am unable to select any partition to install OS X. Any idea what could be the problem and how to solve it? hecker
Have you tried partitioning from the disk utility app and not just (re)formatting?
