Grass Hopper
I have a great install of osx86 on my Dell Inspiron E1705. Everything thing works absolutely terrific on it, sound, wireless, graphics, etc. The only problem now is that when I go to hook up a USB device, it won't work. The only way to get my devices to work is to reboot the system and hook them up while it boots up. Then the device will work. I want to fix it so that anytime I hook a USB device it immediately works without having to reboot. gprince
Hi I had the same problem, resolved by this topic : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry683238 My problem was the incompatibility between the kernel version and the system.kext version. So I installed usbfix1.3.mpkg and then it worked without any problem Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139424-usb-doesnt-recognize-devices/#findComment-987320 Share on other sites
Grass Hopper
I tried to install it, and now my computer won't reboot. It counts down the loading Darwin, then tells me which drive to boot up with but never lets me boot. gprince
What version of Os X did you have? Did you check the version of your kernel and the system.kext and select a custom install of the package? And maybe try to boot with -f or -x to see what happens.
