I Started this for people like me who have had a difficult time with the Synaptics pad, Overheating, and other "HACKINTOSH" based problems on these computers. I know I'm only 16 but, I'd like to help people with these computers as much as I can. Just post questions, or whatever there is never a stupid question! mzew Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Hej! I have laptop dv6500: T5250, GeForce 8400M GS My problems are the following: 1. Extremely long boot time. After LoginWindowApp started I usually get black screen for about 3-4 minutes. It became black after I installed nVidia kexts and OpenGL framework from 10.5.2 to get CI/QE working. Before it was blue and no CI/QE. 2. NO SLEEP. I tried all the kernels from iDeneb 1.3 dvd - no success. I used Chameleon with EFI boot (thanks to Munky) and PC_EFI v9. Deaner Posted December 4, 2008 Author Share Posted December 4, 2008 Im not gonna pretend I have the answer, You see my model is the one with the Intel 950 chip. Try searching under google code. Thats were people often search. I'm sorry I'm not more help. Good Luck!! P.S. I'll look around and see what I can find. Also, If you say that your graphics worked before than you may need to update your drivers for the device. One think I noticed about mine was that when updating some things you had working don't afterwards, so do what you can to find ways to make it work again, or don't update. This was what I had to do for my overheat problem.
