PurpleMan
Hi everybody. I've used the following guide to set up my OSx86 from a retail leopard disc: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=128274 I booted successfully from the boot132 cd, and installed fine. After installation I booted the CD again to start my Leopard installation from the hard drive - again, worked fine. I then installed chameleon, and setup all the kexts from the boot132 cd to the efi partition and rebooted with the hope of booting from my hard drive. Unfortuantely.. about 5 seconds into the boot process (it loads the bootloader) - the system hangs. I did -v and the last line I see before the hang is : Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. I asked and searched around and I figured it's a kext problem. but the thing is.. it boots fine with the exact same kexts from the cd (or is it?) I'm really stumped. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
