avinash_4_ever
hello everyone iam one of those guys who managed to install the os x on my system a quick info of my sys config -------------------------------------- processor =intel dual core 2.8ghz graphics nvidia 7600gs 512mb kingston 1gb ram asus p5b motherboard sony dvd/rw with jmicron controller install software ideneb 10.5.5 with jmicron fix installed on partion sda7 20gb --------------------------------------------- the audio , network/internet , video everything works fine even the timemachine works fine but the only nag is the system wants the install dvd to be present in the drive while booting the os x from hdd this dvd uses chameleon boot loader , the usual stuff happens and waits for user input for 4 seconds and then later starts booting from the hdd(where os x is installed) this is strange to have dvd in the drive to boot from harddisk.. or if the dvd is not present shows error " boot :1 error " anykind of help is deeply appreciated for this thanks in advance (to the admin i had wrongly posted this at other section , sorry) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139249-dvd-to-boot-from-hdd/ Share on other sites

adamsweeting
Try downloading Chameleon once again, and re-install it. Otherwise try Munky's guide on how to create your own EFI partition and add your own Extensions.mkext to the EFI partition. adamsweeting
Seriously... just download Chameleon, and install that. It will increase your boot time by a massive amount.
