reivan Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Hi i currently have kallyway 10.5.2 Installed Works Perfectly just wondering if im aloud to update via the apple button > software update. to get to the latest version (e.g 10.5.5 i think it is not sure) i know i can update programs this way but what about the actual os? Yes you can, if your computer meets certain requirements (using a complete vanilla install for example). There are many different guides describing the process you must take in order to update your install to the next version. I noticed that neither your post or your sig indicate which processor you are using (which makes a huge difference in which method you must take to complete an update). Use the search feature to locate a guide. If you are on an AMD system, using the brand-new Voodoo (XNU 9.5.0) Release Candidate Kernel will greatly simplify this process to be almost identical to the process taken by Intel users. I would encourage this thread be deleted/closed as this has been answered so many times and we do not need another thread dealing with this.
