Cyclone42
I recently purchased an old Compaq Evo D51S. I got 10.4.8 working on it, and everything works quite well. Except for networking, that is. I can't get the built-in ethernet port to work, which appears to be an Intel Pro/100 VM. (Not VE, which is supported). So, I would appreciate suggestions for cheap ethernet hardware which I can use. Does not need to be anything fancy, I'd just like something cheap which I can get to work as easily as possible. Can be a cheap 10/100 PCI card, or (since USB works great on this box) even a USB-to-ethernet adapter. If I can get networking to work on this thing, I plan to give it to my mon to replace her aging and dog-slow eMac.
