THROBiX Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 My laptop, which have the ICH5 or 7 (I guess?) chipset, is struggling with the ALC880 soundcard in OS X 10.5.2... I've tried everything - I made a sound device dump from a Linux Live CD (where the sound worked), and opened it with HDAPatcher 1.20. No luck, not even the soundcard got listed in the control panel. It never did, actually... Tried several kext replacements, dumps - hdapather, no luck either. Once I found an AzaliaAudio kext when I ran 10.4.11 which gave me sound, but I couldn't change the volume nor get sound from the minijack... Any help? I'd really appreciate it, as everything else work like a charm on this laptop.
