driftme Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 Running Kalyway Leopard 10.5.4 Gateway laptop M-6846 Hi I've already spent the last 15 hours trying every kext combination in the forums for PS2 keyboard/mouse. Right now the mouse nor keyboard work. If I plug in a USB keyboard and USB mouse, the laptop keyboard works at the same time as the USB keyboard works. But the keyboard mouse doesnt work. Just the USB mouse. When I first installed Leopard 10.5.4 the keyboard mouse would work, but not the keyboard, thats when I started the endless hours of research. Please someone with this or similar laptop and issues, give me a hand to solve this. Thank you. SOLVED! Only issue is the ALT is the command button. :S The problem is the ApplePS2Controller.kext was not properly installed. I decided to download and try kext helper which is a kext installer and it worked! (google kext helper to download) Attached is the ApplePS2Controller.kext that worked for this laptop in case someone else is having the same issue with same laptop.
