espskog
I had a 8600GT XFX 256MB card installed and it worked ok. Then I upgraded to 10.5.5. All worked nice, however I found out today (!) that the driver was 7600. Or at least, in the systeminformation it says nVidia 7600. Also, the QE was disabled. I noticed all this after Google Earth was superslow when rotating the maps :-) So I was wondering: Can someone point to a place where I can DL the proper driver which get it back to 8600GT and QE enabled ? If possible, I would like a click´n´watch installation rather than fiddling with "vi" :-) PS! I have 10.5.5 (9F33) Regards, Espen Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138906-gf8600gt-became-7600-after-1055-update/ Share on other sites

espskog
Nope. I downloaded natit 1.0 and installed it. Still doesn not work. System profile settings still says I got a 7600GT EFI card, while I actaully DO have a XFX 8600GT 256MB card :-) Any more tips ? ...Anyone ? How can I (like in any other OS) choose which driver to use ? Is ther a "device manager" kinda thing in OSX 10.5.5 which I can use to select which driver to use that fits my card ? No QE is kinda sucky.... things move slow.
