Hi there guys. Im opening this topic because i need some help installing Kalyway 10.5.2 on my DELL XPS M1530. Precisasely, i need help in choosing the right options that appear in the "Customize" list before the final actual install. I need to know what kernel, drivers and patches i need to choose to finally get a full working install of 10.5.2 on my system. At my own disposal, ive got only a DVD of Kalyway 10.5.2 and thats the only distro that i have of OSX86. I read somewhere in the forums that also iAKTOS works great, but since ive got only a 56kbps internet connection, i cannot download another OSX86 distro. So please, someone who has got a full working install of Kalyway 10.5.2 on this machine, help me out. My hardware specifications are:

XPS M1530 CORE 2 DUO T9500 2.60GHz,800,6M

15.4" Widescreen WUXGA (1920x1200) TFT Display with TrueLife

Fingerprint Reader Biometric with BLACK accent

4.0GB (2x2048) 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Hard Drive : 500GB Serial ATA (5400RPM)

8xDVD+/-RW Slim Slot-Load Drive

Graphics Card 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT

TV Tuner- AVerMedia AVerTV Hybrid NanoExpress DVB-T

Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-PCI Card

Dell TrueMobile 355 internal Bluetooth Module

Please, help me in choosing the right Kalyway 10.5.2 settings to get the above mentioned system working 100%. I also read the tutorial post regarding the various DELL models installation with Leopard but unfortunately, i havent found exactly what i was looking for. So it would be good for me to have some sort of tutorial regarding this machine. Thanks guys very much!

Hello,

I have the same config as yours except blu ray. I used Kalyway 10.5.1 with just vanilla kernal and mbr and was able to get osx working.....but no sound or network and video resolutions were basic.

I swithced to iAtkos 4i and selected my video driver and now my video is working all the way to 1920 x 1200 res....but still no sound or network. I am ordering a dell wireless 1505 Draft N from ebay and acroding to what I read on these forums it should be an exact replacement for the air port extreme. I am still hunting for a sound driver......when I find one I will help further.
