PurpleMan
Hi everybody. I have two questions - 1) How do I get a .kext file out of this? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...114578&st=0 I downloaded the zip file, but I think what it contains is the source code to the kext. 2) I have a GA-P35-DS3L motherboard and I downloaded the appropriate boot132 iso file for it from this forum. I found out that after getting into the setup screen - my keyboard isn't working (but the mouse does!). After alot of reading, I figured it's because my keyboard is a PS/2 one while my mouse is USB. I extracted the boot132 iso, and replaced the ps2 kexts with the pcwiz ones (created a new boot132 iso). After I did that - my keyboard works, but my mouse does not! argh! (frustration ) Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks alot, I can't wait to join the hackintosh community! thenameisgabe
what do you mean by replace? You deleted kexts that were named the same? Just throw all the kexts in there together, you seem to have deleted a kext that supported your mouse. PurpleMan
I have replaced (overwrite) the following kexts : AppleACPIPlatform.kext ApplePS2Controller.kext AppleACPIPS2Num.kext with ones suggested by various forum posts (especially by pcwiz). Once I replaced those, the USB mouse stopped working and the PS/2 keyboard started working. how do I get them both to work together?
