Ben8472
After spending most of the Afternoon with the msi wind pc desktop i finally figured out how to get the hardware running. In the BIOS you HAVE TO change the USB Settings to Normal (It's set to highspeed as default) OTHERWISE you cannot boot past the grey apple screen!!! The GMA 950 kext needed is different from the msi wind netbook and most others you'll find the right GMA950 Packadge here: GMA 950 Driver Link The Network Card works right out of the Box for me for Audio you can use the standart Azalia Driver from a Kalways DVD, they are the same used for the msi wind netbook i will add more infos as i find them EDIT: Added Kext Files to this post for your convinience AzaliaAudio.pkg.zip GMA950.pkg.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138801-install-osx-on-a-msi-wind-desktop-pc/ Share on other sites

MDGolom
Thanks for the new driver for the video. I planned on using the desktop as a headless iTunes server, but it had a kernel panic. Hopefully this will solve the problem so I don't need to leave a keyboard and mouse attached. PeterHaas
The GMA950 may be supported using Apple's GMA950 support, if the usual GMA950 device for such support is added to the DSDT. In this way, the usual "cursor sticking" and "cursor smearing" assocate with hacked GMA950 kexts is eliminated. Use DSDTSE to grab the unmodified DSDT. The ALC888 audio may also be supported using VoodooHDA.kext, if the usual HDEF device is added to the DSDT, using the same approach. In the MSI DSDT, the audio device is named NC97 rather than AC97, and, as usual refernces to AC97 (NC97 in this specific case) are changed to HDEF. My bad! The MSI Wind PC (Nettop) sound device is named MC97, not NC97. The ALC888 support would be named HDEF, and would replace the MC97 device, and references to this device would also refer to HDEF. In the BIOS you HAVE TO change the USB Settings to Normal (It's set to highspeed as default) OTHERWISE you cannot boot past the grey apple screen!!! Did you manage to change the USB settings to Highspeed and boot into OSX? Any workaround to achieve fast USB 2.0??
