f0rceofw1ll
I installed OSX on my laptop with the following devices / settings: IBM T60 Kalyway 10.5.2 install sleepkernel (i'm pretty sure) ATI Radeon Mobility X1400: Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x7145 Revision ID: 0x0000 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded 2GB RAM (if you need more information, I'll be glad to find it) Upon install, I my screen went blank, so I followed the steps on the torrent and used "/movevideodrivers", and I now have a 90% functioning hackintosh. I guess that brings me to another question: where did these drivers get moved to? Also, I was able to achieve native screen resolution (1400x1050x32) by adding my resolution to a .kext in the library. Any suggestions? f0rceofw1ll
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone have this same problem? I've looked around for several weeks, but I cannot find anything on this matter. Okay, I'll repose my second question: Where do the video drivers get moved to when you use /movevideodrivers on the Kalyway 10.5.2 install disk? Thanks again, Will (*bump*) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138795-ati-x1400-qeci-not-working-kalyway-install/#findComment-984833 Share on other sites
Stuikka
Hello! I got a Lenovo T60 also, and CI/QE Enabled. All I had to do was to open ATIRadeonX1000.kext/Contents/Info.plist Find the line where it says "IOPCIMatch", below that is a line where device id's are listed, just add your own there. (0x71451002 for me), then set the resolution to com.apple.Boot.plist, reboot and cross your fingers =) Hope that will work for you too. =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138795-ati-x1400-qeci-not-working-kalyway-install/#findComment-985031 Share on other sites
f0rceofw1ll
Did you use the Kalyway 10.5.2 install? Did you have to use the /movevideodrivers? The only ATIRadeonX1000.kext that I have on my hard drive is in a folder called Backup_Video_Drivers, and I already added my device ID (same as yours) and I still don't have QE/CI enabled Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138795-ati-x1400-qeci-not-working-kalyway-install/#findComment-987261 Share on other sites
Stuikka
Yep Kalyway 10.5.2, I didn't install any video drivers that came with the DVD. Just added my device-id after the install was compleated, so I didn't even touch to /movevideodrivers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138795-ati-x1400-qeci-not-working-kalyway-install/#findComment-987820 Share on other sites
f0rceofw1ll
Thanks! I think I'll try to reinstall and just add the Device ID if I blackscreen again! Oh, Stuikka, one more question are you able to put your T60 to sleep? Does the hard drive and fan stop as well (Is it truly asleep, mine just turns the monitor off when I close the lid or tell it to sleep) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138795-ati-x1400-qeci-not-working-kalyway-install/#findComment-987985 Share on other sites
Stuikka
Sleep is one of those things I never need so I didn't spend much time looking for how to get it work... :/ It will sleep yes, but won't wake up...
