Elefantino
Hello! Since yesterday I am another happy OSx86 user (Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L & iDeneb 10.5.5, works very nice!!!) My only issue is to get the WLAN working on an USB stick with the Realtek RTL8187B chipset. I installed the drivers & utility, however no success. After some googling around I found a "manually" solution: after each startup I get the WLAN working after typing this into the Terminal: sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/RTL8187B.kext [authenticate] sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/RTL8187B.kext sudo kextload -v /System/Library/Extensions/RTL8187B.kext IS THERE A WAY TO AVOID THIS DOING MANUALLY EACH STARTUP??? I am just a dummy user and not an expert in this kind of stuff. Please advise, would be great!!! Elefantino
yeahh just got the answer myself by chance! I always had the ethernet-cable plugged in which seemed to cause a conflict. Just unplug the ethernet cable and WLAN works fine!!!
