Hey guys what's up. I just found this forum and I'm really excited to finally get some great info on how to properly build my hackintosh setup.

I plan to use Logic Pro 8 with this build and I was wondering what the other users on this forum who also use Logic Pro 8 decided to use when building their hackintosh? In other words, if you're a Logic Pro 8 user, what are your hackintosh system specs?

Here are my current PC specs:

Just so you know, I also use Intel quad-core, Window's XP, and the soundcard from my Presonus FP10 audio/midi firewire interface. Any tips and suggestions are most welcome and I plan to use this build as a dual boot system for Leopard and XP.

Thanks!

Hello fellow Logic geek!

Is this from NewEgg? Those prices seem kinda high...

I bought two WD 640gb/32mb cache "black" drives with 5 year warranties @$89... those se16s are only warrantied for 3 years...

scrap the floppy drive.. you'll never use it... get a cheap USB thumb drive

I also just bought a gigabyte 8600GT 256 (passive-silent) from xPCgear.com (Newegg sold out just before I went to buy it...) and it was $76 at both stores.

Read up on some of the forums here about that mobo... I cant really tell you anything about that model - I went with a Gigabyte P45 board because they seem to be the more available and stable boards.. and I've used them since 2002 in my pc builds

also, make sure your existing keyboard and mouse are USB, dont mess with the ps2 ports

have fun.

oh, and if you haven't found him yet - Peach-OS is one of the logic gurus around here
