I installed Kalyway 10.5.2, the update 10.5.3 and every thing work excepte that when I update to 10.5.5 using the biketown method the system boot only on safe mode!!! it really makes me crazy, because it's 10th time I am trying to reinstal everything and I have the same problem over and over. the most surprising thing is that I was able to to instal it perfectly on it 1 time. but unfortunatly for some reson I format the disk to make a clean instal. Please help.... Are you saying that you have to boot with -x or that it automatically boots into safe mode? I try to install chameleon and it crash my system, so i reinstal it. and now I don't have any boot loader on my hard drive! I have to use the kalyway DVD bootloader. I am totaly lost. I don't find any information that works about that on internet. pleeeeeeease help me.... Which specific version of the ASUS P5E VM do you have? .....the ASUS P5E-VM HDMI with Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3500 or ASUS P5E-VM SE .......in either case, are you using the onboard integrated chipset graphics? If so, AFIK it is probbably not supported by OS X unless you can identify the integrated graphics chipset......but check this thread....... Suggest you reinstall system on clean partition without initially choosing and installing any video kexts..... xave Posted November 28, 2008 Author Share Posted November 28, 2008 hi verdant, I reformated the drive and made 2 partitions telling it to boot w/ an intel system and I reinstall the system w/ installing the video driver in safe mode and... miracle it's working!!! yeah! except that now I having problemes mounting my firewire disk. I found on a thread that I have to update my kernel and system.plist that I did but no sucess. The drive mount but I cannot access to disk itself...
