spikeyfish2
HI!, I installed Mac OSX a while back now and never have booted it up. I just forgot about it. I've now copied Chain0 to the root of c & d (just in case becuase d is actually c) and added chain0 as a method with EasyBCD. After installing MAC OSX i had problems boting XP or Vista. I had to do a repair on vista and never got XP working again. I'm not that bothered about xp anymore but I would like Mac OSX working. When I boot up I have 3 options in the Vista bootloader. It looks something like this: Select an operating system: Windows Vista Windows XP Home Edition Mac OSX I used the iAtkos 1.0i r2 i think and it installed fine. My hard drive setup is this: Disk (0) Partition (1) - XP (NTFS) Disk (0) Partition (2) - Mac OSX (HFS+) Disk (1) Partition (1) - Vista Home Premium (NTFS) I would like to get this sorted once and for all. Thanks for any help. Any other information you require I will post back. spikeyfish2
Thanks, Alien2xx Although it didn't work, I found some usefull things.: 1. When I added leopard to the bootloader, and went in View Settings -> Detailed(on Vista BootPro), I looked at the entry for Leopard and it said: Real-mode Boot Sector --------------------- identifier {I edited this alphanumeric stuff out} device partition=C: path \NST\nst_mac.mbr description Mac OS X Leopard But it says partition C: ... but the partition leopard is on is D: (in vista) and is on the second partition. Any ideas on how to change this? 2. The error I get now is "b0 error" 3. Im burning iATKOS v2.0i to a disk as i'm writing this, hoping to do a reinstall (Because I think when I was last on the leopard install I formated the leopard partition but didnt install it. ... lol) so anyway, I'll let you know how I get on. spikeyfish2
Hi, Take a look at my post, it may help you. I have Vista, Windows Server 2008 and MacOSX (Ideneb 1.3 -10.5.5) running as triple boot on my laptop. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry813178 Good luck! Update: so, I fixed that b0 error by reinstalling and setting the bootloader to go to the D: drive for leopard. Now though, when I select Mac OSX LEOPARD it says: "Windows cannot be loaded because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows Root>/System32/Hal.dll" or something like that. Not sure what to do as the OS i'm trying to boot isn't windows... I have another problem though trying to install MAC OSX onto my vista hard drive. I've shrunk my vvista partition down to 100GB, leaving room for 10GB of Mac OS goodness. When I go into disk utility in the Mac Install dvd, the only partition it can mount is my one on the XP drive.. When I erase the 10GB partition in Disk utility, it erases fine but when it tries to mount it fails. When I go into first aid in the partition and click verify disk it gives the following error: "Invalid BS_jmpBoot in boot block 000000 Error: File System verify or repair failed" Same error if I click "repair disk". Any idea how to fix the boot block. I think if I can get it to install on my vista drive, I'll have an easier time booting into it. Many thanks again..
