I have done a bit of research and found that newer MSI boards are having ACPI issues... Is there any chance of getting some help with a bios hack for this board?

For the record... I'm getting hung up on:

iDeneb v1.3:

Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><String ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

Leo4All v.3:

Reboot

Kalyway 10.5.2:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x5A37DD46): "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::build CPUsPSSArray - got _PSS data for cpu index 2, but expected intex\n"@/SourceCache/IOPlatformPluginFamily/IOPlatformPluginFamily/IOPlatformPluginFamily-315.0.3/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugi

Debugger....

iAtkos 2.0i:

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style.

Thanks in advance!

Nicholas

Send it back, and get something like P35 or better.

Ok... I just ordered a Gigabyte GA-P45-D3SL

And, since I don't currently have a video card, I ordered a Biostar 9600 GT (I hope I'm not wrong in thinking that's supposed to work well with 10.5.5)... I picked the 9600GT for comparable gaming performance to the 3870 at a slightly lower cost.

The MSI board is going back on monday barring any miracles.
