Hi there! If you're new to OSx86, and you're not sure how to install Leopard alongside any other operating system, then read this.

Method 1

If you're a Vista user, you can partition your hard drive by going to Start -> Right click "My Computer" -> "Manage". If a security message pops up, click "yes". Now click "Disk Management". Be extremely careful when partitioning your HD. If you cancel the process, you can and will destroy all of your data, and in most cases, reinstall your operating system. Right click your primary partition (C:), and click on shrink. Now create a new partiton in the free space. Note that Leopard requares at least 7 to 8 GB of space to install.

Method 2

To partition almost anything, you can use the GParted Live CD. Download the .iso and burn it to a blank CD or DVD. Boot into it from BIOS by pressing F12 while your computer is starting up. To shrink a partition, double click on it or select it, then press "Resize/Move".

Method 3

This is one of the strangest ways to partition your disk. If you have a useless Linux install disk (Ubuntu), you can use it for partitioning. Boot into the Ubuntu disk, and click try Ubuntu with no change to your computer. Then click "Install". Just click continue until you reach the last screen before install. Click on "Manual" to go to the partitioning screen. When you're done, click the cancel button.

Method 4

Only use this method if your hard drive is empty, and you're going to install Leopard and another OS after it. Boot into a OSx86 install disk. Press F8 and type "-v". Continue through the installer until it asks you to select an install location. Go to Utilities -> Disk Utility. Now click on the top icon in the list (to the left of the window). Click "Partition", and partition your HD how ever you want. Note that this destroys all data on your drive.
