I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the following.

My Hackintosh likes to randomly hang. Sometimes it happens within a minute after boot, sometimes it happens after about 15 mins. The app that's in focus becomes irresponsive, then the spinning wheel appears. I can still move windows around for the first ten seconds, then that becomes impossible. If I click icons in the dock, they start to bounce, but none get loaded. Clicking three items on the dock will cause the screen to freeze and no other thing than a reset is possible. This issue does not occur when booting in safe mode or when removing NVinject or the appropriate EFI strings.

I have an nVidia GeForce 7600GS running on an nForce 650i based system with Intel's C2d. The problem did not occur in the past with iATKOS 1r3 (10.5.1), but now does. The same issue also appears on Kalyway 10.5.2 and iATKOS v41 (10.5.4).

I've tried different injectors, i.e. NVinject 0.1.3, 0.1.7 and 0.2.1, all to no avail. Using EFI strings instead doesn't help either. It's strange to see that the problems all disappear when Quartz Extreme is disabled, either by removing injectors and EFI strings or by booting in safe mode. This issue never occurred when I installed iATKOS 1r3 for the first time. I was forced to reinstall after a failed upgrade to 10.5.4 a while back.

The last lines from the log before crashing are:

com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.UserEventAgent-LoginWindow[99]): Exited: Terminated
/System/Library/CoreServices/coreservicesd[51]: SFLSharePointsEntry::CreateDSRecord: dsCreateRecordAndOpen(User's Public Folder) returned -14135
