Hi

sorry for my bad english :)

I am in big trouble...

2 weeks ago i installed leopard on my pc (kallyway). Everything was working wonderful. All my drivers etc

my HDD configuration

1- 500 gb seagete -- leopard

it has 3 partitions on it

2- 80 gb seagate --xp

it has 3 parititons on it

3-500 gb usb HDD-- i am using it for backups

What did i do:

i wanted to backup my important files to my 500 gb usb HDD but leopard didn't allowed me to put my files on it becouse it was NTFS formated.

1- on start up i made 80 gb hdd master to boot xp

2- on xp i entered disc manager

3- i deleted 500 usb hdd ( unpartition it)

4- i set my 500 gb hdd to master to boot my leopard

5- on diognastics it says : still waiting for root device

6- i thought i can solve it by reinstalling leopard so i started with my cdrom

7- leopard cd didn't see my leopard parititons

8- i said what the ****

9- i didn't install leopard and i restarted my compudter

10- when i press f8 before starting my leopard, it sees all my partitions but it says still waiting for root device.

Main problem: i have important files on my 500 gb hdd so i can't format it. I should find a way to recover my partitions or something else

PLZZZZZZZZZZ HELP MEEEEEEEEEEE

Unplug your USB HDD, then make your leopard partition active. Try booting from DVD, go to terminal and try this:

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (replace 0 with your disk no.)

flag 1 (replace 1 with your leopard partition no.)

write

update

quit

If you still fail after trying the above steps, then you might need to install leopard again.
